The College of Social Education educates social pedagogues, social helpers, social workers and day care workers. In addition, continuing education/ higher education and courses are offered. The social pedagogue studies started in the mid 70’s and has since then customized education and competencies, just as location, facilities has been moved and the building expanded.
The College of Social Education moved to Ilulissat in 1995. In January 2011, we moved into our new beautiful building, which was expanded in 2018, and the modern facilities today form the framework for an inspiring educational environment.
Through our courses we want to lift the individual student for the benefit of the unity.
We work to solve challenges through effective and constructive cooperation, and we prioritize an open, positive and involving dialogue to create trust and unity.

The College of Social education is a Branch school under the Greenlandic Autonomy called Naalakkersuisut; Department for Education, Culture and Church.
